Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is excited to announce an opportunity for local professionals and industry leaders to make a difference in the lives of Seattle’s youth. Through the Seattle Mentors Empowerment Exchange, SPR is seeking qualified mentors for the 2025-2026 school year to guide and inspire young individuals at designated Parks and Recreation sites.
About the Program
The Seattle Mentors Empowerment Exchange aims to foster growth and development for youth aged 13-18 through small group mentorship (4-6 participants per group). This initiative focuses on post-secondary preparation, career coaching, industry exposure, and skill building through hands-on learning—all while supporting healthy lifestyles and building a thriving community.
Mentorship sessions will take place at approved Teen Life Centers, SPR Community Centers, or Seattle Public Schools (SPS) locations assigned by the Mentorship Director. The program will run as an 8-week cohort during Fall 2025 (October–December), with the potential to extend into Winter and Spring 2026.
Who Should Apply?
SPR is looking for career professionals, industry leaders, and local organizations passionate about empowering youth and promoting community vibrancy. Mentors will play a key role in preparing students for future success by sharing their expertise, providing guidance, and fostering valuable skills.
