Summer Activity Camp Registration Now Open

A promotional image reads "Summer Activity Camp and Virtual Camp Registration Now Open!" 4 images in each corner show a young boy with facemask building legos, 3 youth playing flag football outside on a sunny day, 2 young girls hanging upsidedown smiling on a junglegym, and a young girl doing some sort of virtual program with earbuds in and pencil to paper.

In-person and virtual summer camps are open for registration! Most camps serve youth ages 5-12 across the city at four community centers and online. The Specialized Programs team will be offering day camps for youth and adults with disabilities, starting in July. Read on for full details.

In-person Activity Camps

This summer, four community centers will offer a variety of in-person summer camps at High Point, Jefferson, Montlake and Loyal Heights community centers. The activity camps include options like sports and fitness, arts and crafts, performing arts, nature, STEM and more. You can see the full 2021 Summer Activity Camp brochure here. Please be sure to read the “What You Need To Know” section, as there will be safety protocols in place such as daily health screenings prior to being signed into camp each day.

Virtual Camps

If virtual camps are more in line with your family’s preference, we’ve got you covered! Options include creative dance, watercolor, hockey, chess, writing, Dungeons & Dragons and more. You can see the full 2021 Summer Virtual Camp brochure here. All virtual camps require the free software Webex to participate, which can be downloaded here.

Specialized Programs Youth and Adult Camps

Starting in July, Specialized Programs will be offering day camps for youth and adults with disabilities:
5 weeks of youth camp for ages 6 – 21, and 5 weeks for adults ages 22 and older. Space will be limited to maintain safety requirements, and program times will run 10am – 1pm, Mondays – Thursdays, except weeks with Monday holidays.

Camp locations will rotate between John C. Little Park (SE Seattle) and Ravenna Park, Shelter 1 (NE Seattle).

You can find details on Specialized Programs camps in their Summer 2021 brochure here, and more general details on their website here.

Registration will be by lottery. Registration Form and Camper Forms (included in the Summer Brochure) must be received by May 28. We hope to be able to provide everyone with at least 1 week of camp. Notifications will be sent by June 11 to confirm your camp week(s).
