Pathway of Lights returns to Green Lake Park on Dec. 8

The holidays are on the horizon, and we’re already getting into the spirit of the season as we prepare for the annual Pathway of Lights! This FREE family favorite holiday event is on Saturday, December 8 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Come stroll the glimmering Green Lake circuit, paths, and docks which will be lit with thousands of twinkling candles. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and live holiday music while you wander through the magic of the sparkling lights.

Local musicians will perform at four sites around the lake:

  • The Green Lake Community Centeron the east side
  • The Green Lake Small Craft Centeron the south side
  • The Bathhouse Theateron the north side
  • The Arch on the east of side of the community center/pool. (Sponsored by The Hearthstone at Green Lake)

Community members attending the Pathway of Lights are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation that benefits FamilyWorks, and attendees are also welcome to bring their own lights to add to the ambiance of the evening’s atmosphere.

Look out for the 2nd year with hot air balloons at Pathway of Lights! The Balloon Glow goes from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and is weather dependent, so let’s hope for a clear night!

This Seattle Parks and Recreation tradition is presented in partnership with the Green Lake Advisory Council and our title sponsor, Green Lake Masonic Lodge #149, and with our community partners including: PCC Community Markets, Aegis Living at Ravenna, The Hearthstone at Green Lake, Lake Realty, Lunchbox Lab, and Associated Recreation Council. Thank you also to Lime and KIND, our in-kind donors!

Volunteers to assist with the event and volunteer music groups are needed, so if you are interested in helping, we would love to hear from you!
