Seattle Parks and Recreation Opens Three Play Area Renovation Projects

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is happy to announce three renovated play areas, View Ridge Playfield Playground, Ward Springs, and Bryant Neighborhood Playground, are open for sliding, climbing and exploring.

The improvements are part of Seattle Parks and Recreation’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, inclusive, and fun play spaces for all Seattle. All three play area designs incorporated community feedback and were designed by SPR Landscape Architects. We appreciates the community’s patience during construction and are happy welcoming families back to these renovated neighborhoods play areas.

Seattle Park District provides the funding for these projects, as well as funding for other improvements across Seattle’s nearly 500 parks, playfields, and community centers to remain welcoming places for recreation, learning, and healthy communities

Please visit the play area pages to view renderings of the play equipment and learn more on each project:

Construction activity is still underway at View Ridge Playfield as we finalize work in the restroom and improvements to the picnic area adjacent to the restroom. SPR will host a ribbon cutting in early June at View Ridge Playfield to celebrate the completion of all three projects.
