Seattle Parks and Recreation invites the community to participate in the future play area in Roanoke Park. Please join us at the park on Sat. March 7 between 11 am and 1 pm to review the play area schematic design options and provide your feedback. Roanoke Park is located at 950 E. Roanoke St. in north Capitol Hill.
This event is an opportunity to meet the project team and review the schematic design options that have been prepared based on the previous community input. Additionally, you can visit https://engageseattleparks.com/roanoke-park-play-area-renovation to review the schematic design options and provide input through a short survey.
This project will replace the existing play equipment with new equipment that meets current safety and accessibility standards. Site improvements will include:
- New play equipment (including age 2-5 and age 5-12 equipment)
- New safety surfacing
- New site furnishings
- Repair of existing drainage infrastructure
- New trees, mulch, and lawn restoration around the play area
- Pavement repair for accessibility
