Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is excited to announce Ward Springs Park play area renovation project is complete and the play area is open. Thank you to everyone who provided input during the public process. Located in southeast Queen Anne at 925 4th Ave. N, the park offers views of the Space Needle with a rentable historic pump house in the park.
The play area renovation provides new play equipment with a saucer swing, climbing structures, slides and refurbished seating area. All equipment meets current safety and accessibility standards. Portions of the park will remain fenced off as we allow the recently seeded lawn to establish.
To increase project efficiency, SPR packaged this construction project with two other play area renovation projects. Kassel & Associates was awarded the construction package which includes Bryant Neighborhood Park Play Area, and View Ridge Playfield Play Area. We anticipate these additional play areas will be open soon.
For information on how to rent the Ward Springs Pump House immediately adjacent to the playground for birthday parties, or small events, please visit Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Indoor Facility Rental webpage or contact SPR Event Scheduling at SPRevents@Seattle.gov.
