Seattle Parks and Recreation invites community members to attend a community open house to learn about and provide feedback on the upcoming Hubbard Homestead Sports Court Renovation. Please join us on Thursday, August 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Northgate Community Center, 10510 5th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125.
The project is funded by One Roof Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena. It will expand the existing basketball court surface and install a new combined goal for both street hockey and basketball. The renovation will increase opportunities for outdoor recreation and improve the functionality of the court.
During this meeting, the community will have the opportunity to share their feedback on the sports courts, meet the project team, and learn more about the renovation. Additionally, the project team will share an update on the Hubbard Homestead Park Play Area Renovation.
“We are excited to partner with One Roof Foundation to bring an enhanced recreational space to the Northgate community,” said AP Diaz, Superintendent of Seattle Parks and Recreation. “With the renovated play area and upgraded sports court, we are proud to play a role in creating more opportunities for the community to come together and enjoy this vibrant neighborhood park.”
