Revitalization through targeted maintenance
Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is pleased to begin pavement correction work on the Burke-Gilman Trail in northeast Seattle starting the week of Monday, September 23, 2024.
This work will provide pavement repairs to some patches of trail that do not meet Department maintenance and safety standards. We anticipate this work to be completed within the week. A portion of the Burke-Gilman Trail will be closed during construction. Detour signage will be put in place for trail users and the contractor will work to minimize impact to trail users. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we repair Seattle’s most used trail.
SPR regularly maintains the Burke- Gilman Trail to ensure this invaluable community asset remains a safe, accessible, and enjoyable resource for all users. This project is made possible with funding from the Seattle Park District Cycle 2 which provides funding for this maintenance project along with funding to ensure Seattle’s nearly 500 parks, playfields, and community centers remain welcoming places for recreation, learning, and healthy communities.
