Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to learn more and provide feedback on the Hutchinson Playground preferred schematic design. Please join us at the events below to provide input:
- Rainier Beach Back2School Bash – Saturday, August 24, from 12 – 4 p.m. at Be’er Sheva Park, 8650 55th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118
- Emerson Back to School Giveaway – Saturday, August 29, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Emerson Elementary, 9709 60th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118
At this meeting, the design team will share the preferred schematic design with the community! This design is based on community feedback, a final land survey, park standards and requirements for accessibility, grading, and drainage. Come and meet with the team to ask questions, learn how your input helped shape the design and provide your final design input!
The Hutchinson Playground Renovation project will include a new play area for ages two and up, resurfaced sports courts, basketball court reconstruction, playfield repair, enhanced natural areas, and pathway, entrance, and other related improvements to meet accessibility standards and improve safety.
