Join us on April 6!
Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to help shape conceptual designs that will inform the design for the future play area at Firehouse Mini Park. Please join us on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at Byrd Bard Place, 722 18th Ave. to meet the design team and provide input. This event space is adjacent to the Firehouse Mini Park.
This project will replace the existing play equipment and make accessibility improvements for the park. Currently, the project scope includes replacing the Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) safety surfacing in the play area, renovations to the lawn area, planting enhancements and site furnishing updates.
At this meeting the design team will share a site analysis along with potential play area styles and equipment. Community participation is encouraged and will help us create the best park for the neighborhood. After the meeting a short online survey will be released to collect additional input.
Firehouse Mini Park is located in the Central District at 712 18th Ave. between E. Cherry and E. Columbia St. For more information visit Firehouse Mini Park Play Area Renovation – Parks | seattle.gov or contact Asmita Poudel at Asmita.poudel@seattle.gov or 206-549-0827.
