Thank you for supporting Pathway of Lights!

We did it! Pathway of Lights 2023 was held on Saturday, December 9 and went off with rave reviews from the community. Staff toughed it out, setting up for hours during a torrential downpour. By the time luminaries were being placed, the weather eased up.  Skies cleared for the event and thousands of community members came out! Unfortunately, the hot air balloons weren’t able to come due to the wet weather.

Community groups, schools, and bands played at three stages and were surrounded by people dancing and singing. Kids with scooters and in wagons were decked out in lights. Kayaks circled the lake, lit up with holiday decorations. There was even a surprise visit from Olaf.  Event sponsors were busy all night with lines of people waiting to say hello.

Community members brought hundreds of pounds of non-perishable food items for our local food bank, FamilyWorks! Together, we donated an impressive 505 pounds of food worth $1,090. Our heartfelt gratitude to all who joined us for this cherished event and lent their support to the nourishment of those in need.

A great time was had by all and a HUGE THANK YOU to all the Seattle Parks and Recreation staff, ARC staff, and volunteers who made the magic happen!
