Seattle Parks and Recreation Community Invitation To Review Design Options for Rainier Community Center Play Area Renovation

Seattle Parks and Recreation encourages the community to provide input and help shape the future of the Rainier Community Center play area. Please join us on Wednesday, August 23 at Rainier Community Center from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. At 6 p.m. the design team will make a presentation.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to date. The ABLE design team used your input and priorities to develop three play area design concepts. This meeting will review these options and gather additional input to inform the final design.

Additionally, the project team is gathering your input on the play area design concepts and elements to inform the final design through this online survey: https://seattle.surveymonkey.com/r/D8HNLP7

Play equipment, both traditional and natural, gathering spaces and shelter options are in the scope of the project. All improvements will meet accessibility standards and storm water requirements.

The Rainier Community Center play area is located east of the community center at 4600 38th Ave. S. For more information, please visit
