Help shape the new Magnuson Park Junior League Play Area

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to help shape the future design of the Magnuson Park Junior League Play area. Please join us for a kick-off meeting on August 3, 2023, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Magnuson Community Center multi-purpose room, 7110 62nd Avenue NE.

Please participate in this short survey: https://seattle.surveymonkey.com/r/MagPlayArea and share your input theme, the top six park elements you’d like to see and what you’d like to see for a splash pad.

During the meeting, our design team will share a site analysis, potential play area styles and equipment. We will also be gathering input on how the existing play area works for you and what improvements you would like to see.

Magnuson Park playground improvements will include new play equipment, accessibility improvements in compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA), a new public restroom and conceptual designs for a splash pad next to the playground, and a replacement concept for a damaged restroom north of the Magnuson Boat Launch. The original play area was constructed in 1999 with the support of the Junior League of Seattle.
