Washington Park Playfield Construction Begins

Seattle Parks and Recreation awarded the construction contract for the Washington Park Synthetic Turf Replacement project to Coast to Coast Turf, Inc.  They will mobilize on site the week of July 25. During construction the playfield will be closed, however, the contractor will work to keep the play area and rest rooms open to the public.  Washington Park Playfield is located on the south side of the Arboretum at 1017 Lake Washington Blvd E, Seattle, WA 98112.

This project will replace aging synthetic turf at Washington Park Playfield. This will include the removal of the old ‘worn out’ synthetic turf and addressing accessibility issues at the field. 2022 synthetic turf systems will be installed for recreational play. Field markings will include soccer, ultimate and baseball/softball.  We anticipate the project will be completed in the fall of 2022.
