Volunteer for the Big Day of Play, our biggest day of free community recreational play!

Presented by Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Get Moving Initiative with support from Kaiser Permanente, Big Day of Play will be held on Saturday, August 18 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Rainier Community Center and Playfields.

Big Day of Play is a celebration of our City’s diversity and it encourages neighbors, communities and families to have fun, build relationships and be active together.

This event cannot happen without YOU, our special Seattle Parks and Recreation Volunteers!

Make new friends and bond with your community while helping make the Big Day of Play a success. Volunteers will receive free snacks, event swag, and a free swim at Seattle Parks and Recreation’s pools for your time and support.

Volunteers and groups are needed for:

  • Aquatics and Science at the Mt. Baker Rowing & Sailing Center
  • Composting Stations
  • Guest Greeter/Floating Support
  • Surveyors/Data Collection
  • Water Slide and Inflatables Crowd Support
  • Field Activities
  • 1st Aid Station
  • Photography/Videography
  • and much more!
