Camp Long is raising money for Outdoor Education with the help of our neighborhood businesses

Camp Long is partnering with Business Networking International’s West Seattle chapter to help raise money for our Outdoor Education programs!

Business Networking International (BNI) is an organization of local businesses helping local businesses. With their support (and yours), we are trying to meet our goal of raising $2,500 for our Leaders in Equity, Environment, and Facilitation (LEEF) program as well as for our Campership fund.

LEEF is dedicated to providing leadership roles for teens from minority and at-risk communities, in which they facilitate equitable and culturally-responsive environmental and experiential programming. LEEF members are teens who identify as people of color, LGBTQIA, and/or are from low-income households.

Camperships, or camp scholarships, help Camp Long provide access to outdoor summer camps for kids who might not otherwise be able to join. Our environmental education camps cover wilderness survival, marine biology, forest protection, and experiential education on Camp Long’s high ropes course.

Seattle Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Associated Recreation Council (ARC), is dedicated to providing welcoming, safe opportunities to play, learn, contemplate, build community, and promote environmental stewardship. Community member contributions help Camp Long and Seattle Parks and Recreation continue to support healthy people, a healthy environments, and strong communities.
