Magnuson Park Gallery marks its third anniversary with the exhibit Mexican Artists in the Pacific Northwest
On Thursday, October 19, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., the Magnuson Park Gallery will be open for a third Thursday event in honor of its third year anniversary and its current exhibit, Mexican Artists in the Pacific Northwest, a show of 14 works by seven prominent artists of Seattle’s Mexican-American community, including Alfredo Arreguin, Fulgencia Lazo, Gabriel Marquez, Jesus Mena, Marilyn Montufar, Kristen Ramirez and Jose Luis Rodriguez. The event is FREE and all are invited to attend!
Curated in partnership with the Consulate Mexico of Seattle, the rich and vibrant exhibit commemorates three years of arts and cultural exchange in Magnuson Park’s publicly accessible arts venue. The Third Thursday event presents a chance to meet some of the artists while enjoying live music from jazz vocalist Marina Christopher and light refreshments with neighbors and new friends in Northeast Seattle.
The Magnuson Park Gallery is operated by Sand Point Arts and Cultural Exchange (SPACE), a non-profit dedicated to building community and facilitating arts and cultural activities for the public within the park and the Sand Point Naval Air Station Historic District.
