Seattle Parks and Recreation invites input for proposed Tashkent Park improvements

Seattle Parks and Recreation invites the community to participate in a public meeting for the Tashkent Park improvements on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Capitol Hill Branch Library located at 425 Harvard Ave. E.

This meeting is an opportunity for the community to learn about and provide input on the proposed new landscaping and small plaza for Tashkent Park. The scope of the work does not include a dogs off-leash area. The City Council ordinance governing the establishment of off-leash areas doesn’t allow off-leash areas that are directly abutting residences. The park is located on 511 Boylston Ave. E. on the west side of Capitol Hill. Seattle Parks staff will present the improvement project, answer questions and gather community feedback.

Parks staff will also present an update on the E. John Street Enhancement  Opportunity Fund project. For more information on this project please visit http://www.seattle.gov/parks/projects/john_street/enhancement.htm
