Seattle Parks and Recreation brings a great new healthy Capitol Hill resource to you and your furry companion

Do you love spending time outdoors with your furry companions? Are you wanting new, creative ways to exercise? Seattle Parks and Recreation encourages the community to participate in the Healthy Capitol Hill Hike. Visit the south Capitol Hill parks and explore our new fitness equipment for people and for pets. South Capitol Hill parks include Broadway Hill Park, Seven Hills Park, Tashkent Park, Thomas Street Mini-Park, Sumit Slope Park, T.T. Minor Playground, McGilvra Place, and Williams Place and all now have either great exercise equipment or body weight exercises for you and your furry companions.

The Healthy Capitol Hill Hike offers self-guided thorough exercises for you and your pup. You can choose to participate and follow either the 1.6-mile route with upper-body exercises or 1.5-mile route with lower body suggested exercises or connect the two for a 5K!  Both begin in Cal Anderson Park, 1635 11th Ave.

The improvements are part of Seattle Parks and Recreation’s ongoing commitment to delivering safety, vitality, and inclusivity for these neighborhood parks. The design for the Healthy Capitol Hill Hike incorporated community feedback and a collaborative community-centered initiative for the parks in South Capitol Hill. SPR continues to work with neighbors, businesses and organizations to enhance these neighborhood parks.
