Lake Washington Boulevard Knotweed Treatment and Trail Closure

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) will conduct knotweed treatment along Lake Washington Boulevard between Lake Drive S and 43rd Avenue S on Thursday, October 15, beginning at 8 AM.

To allow crews to safely complete the treatment and give the application sufficient time to dry, SPR will temporarily close the adjacent trail from 8 AM on Thursday, October 15, through 10 AM on Friday, October 16.

SPR will post informational signs near treatment locations before work begins and clearly mark all treatment areas. Crews will take appropriate safety precautions throughout the process to minimize risks to people, pets, birds, and other wildlife.

This work supports SPR’s ongoing efforts to manage noxious weeds and improve the long-term ecological health of Seattle’s parks and natural areas. We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we complete this important work.
