Seattle Parks and Recreation(SPR) will be repairing areas of the Burke-Gilman Trail between NE 65th St and NE 77th St in northeast Seattle during the month of September. Work begins Tuesday, September 8 and is anticipated to last 3 weeks. The schedule may change based on factors such as inclement weather.
This section of the Burke-Gilman Trail will remain open and passable with temporary gravel ramps in place where asphalt has been removed. Cyclists are asked to dismount and walk through work zones following all detour signs. Please use extra caution in repair sections and expect travel delays during construction.
Burke-Gilman Trail maintenance includes repairing portions of the trail where the surface has been damaged by tree roots or other environmental factors. Similar work was performed in 2025 north of NE 77th St.
