Seattle Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Acts On Stage and the Associated Recreation Council, proudly presents the 2026 Teen Summer Musical! This year, the musical returns with “Peter Pan: Ready to Rise,” a fresh take on a timeless story of adventure and the courage it takes to grow up.
Seattle’s Teen Summer Musical has been a cornerstone of the city’s arts and culture scene. Known for uplifting the community through the magic of musical theater, this program has created a lasting impact, bringing together young performers and audiences alike. Directed by Isiah Anderson Jr., this year’s production promises to continue its legacy of inspiring and entertaining.
The summer musical is an opportunity for local teens (mostly of Color) to perform in a musical theater production that reflects their culture and community while learning the disciplines of stage. Summer musical participants earn a stipend for rehearsals and performance during this 10-week summer program.
An Inspiring Take on the Timeless Classic
This year’s Peter Pan: Ready to Rise brings Neverland to life through the talent, energy and perspective of a cast of 70 young performers. The production puts youth voices at the center, creating a vibrant theatrical experience rooted in creativity, culture and community. Together, the cast invites audiences into a Neverland all their own while showcasing what can happen when young artists are given the space to learn and shine.
Bringing Neverland to McCaw Hall
This year, the Teen Summer Musical is bringing Neverland to life at McCaw Hall at Seattle Center. Tickets are priced at $30, making it an affordable way to share an inspiring evening of dynamic storytelling, unforgettable music, and breathtaking choreography with the community.
