Lake Union Park Maintenance Improvements

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is happy to announce Lake Union Park major maintenance efforts have begun. This work will refresh the gravel area on the southside of the park, install new natural turf and trees, repair a portion of the wood decking on the northwest edge of the park, install additional plantings in the raised beds, level sunken slabs and refresh park benches.  We look forward to completing this project in time for summer enjoyment.

SPR will work to minimize impacts to the park. Thank you in advance to park visitors and neighbors for their cooperation and patience as we improve this destination park in the South Lake Union neighborhood.

Park impacts will include phased closure of large sections of the park, including the wharf area and moorage. Moorage at the park is currently closed and will reopen in May. We will do our best to maintain pedestrian pathways throughout the park during construction.
