Seattle Parks and Recreation is renovating the playground, spray park and restrooms at Judkins Park. Our goal is to ensure Judkins Park is a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive space for all. We’ve received incredible feedback on the current renovation project during recent community and youth engagement events, and now we want to hear from even more voices!
If you haven’t had a chance to join us in person, you can still help shape the future of this beloved neighborhood park by taking our online survey: https://seattle.surveymonkey.com/r/JudkinsKickOff
The survey will be open until Monday, March 31, so be sure to share your feedback and make your voice heard!
The Judkins Park Renovation Project will include renovating and expanding the playground, spray park, and restrooms, constructing new play spaces with a focused commitment to preserving the park’s historical significance while advancing equity and accessibility.
You can share additional feedback and your story about Judkins Park on the project’s engagement hub site: https://engage.seattleparksandrec.com/en/projects/judkins-park-renovations-project. This information may inform future phases of improvements at the park.
This project is made possible through partnerships with Africatown Community Land Trust (ACLT), The William Grose Center, and A Personal Point of View LLC. Each organization brings unique expertise to ensure the project is community focused. By leveraging these partnerships, the project aims to maximize benefits to the community and each organization is committed to honoring the neighborhood’s history and prioritizing inclusivity in a community that has experienced redlining, displacement, and gentrification.
