Many Seattle Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed, or on modified schedules, on two or more dates in observance of the winter holidays. Please see below for details.
These facilities and programs will be CLOSED on Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1:
- All recreation programs and facilities (Community Centers, Indoor Pools, Teen Life Centers, Environmental Learning Centers, Green Lake Small Craft Center, Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center, and all Recreation Programs)
- Amy Yee Tennis Center
- Japanese Garden (closed December through February for winter maintenance)
These facilities and programs will have impacted schedules on Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) and Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve):
- Community Centers and Teen Centers will close early at 6pm.
- Pools will close early between 2:30 and 4pm based on when scheduled drop-in swims end. Please check with your local facility to verify closure times.
- Environmental Learning Centers will close at 6pm.
- Amy Yee Tennis Center will operate 7am to 3pm.
Additional Facility Impacts:
- Volunteer Park Conservatory will be open on Dec. 25 but will close early at 3pm.

West Seattle & Jackson Park:
- Xmas Eve – Closes at 2pm

Bill Wright:
- Xmas Eve – Closes at 4pm
