Starting on Tuesday, July 23, the Magnuson Off Leash Area (OLA) will be closed for 3 days so crews can conduct the following work:
- Tree trimming and removal of dead/dying trees
- Building a new storage structure to replace the wooden shed lost to vandalism
These two projects have been in the planning stage for a while. Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) and the Magnuson Off Leash Group (MOLG) decided to execute both projects at the same time in order to minimize repeated closures and disruptions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we are excited to continue making the needed improvements at the Magnuson OLA.
This work is expected to finish on Thursday, July 25, and the OLA will reopen by Friday.
In the graphic below, circled areas indicate where our tree crew will be conducting their work and the location of the new storage structure is marked with a blue dot.
