Seattle Parks and Recreation invites Lake City community to review Little Brook Park Redevelopment Designs

Join us! March 8

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to participate and provide input for the Little Brook Park Redevelopment project. Please join us for a public meeting on Friday, March 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lake City Collective Center, 13525 32nd Ave NE.

At this event SPR and the design team will share the current park space design and gather community feedback on play equipment options. We will also share conceptual designs for the plaza extension of the park into a portion of 32nd Avenue NE, in front of the park. The plaza area has been permanently closed to vehicles by Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) for use as a Healthy Street, providing neighbors more space to bike, walk, roll, and play on. The park improvements include an updated play area, picnic tables and seating, creek boardwalk, garden, and a renovated restroom.

“We are excited to complete the design for the park renovation and would like to thank community members and non-profit organization, Lake City Collective, for their initial design work,” said AP Diaz, Seattle Parks and Recreation Superintendent. “This collaboration with SDOT and the community will provide a park space that facilitates a thriving environment and vibrant community.”
