Help shape the future Magnuson Park Junior League Play Area!

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to participate in shaping the design of the Magnuson Park Junior League Play Area. Please join us on Tuesday, December 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Magnuson Community Center multi-purpose room, 7110 62nd Ave. NE to participate in the Magnuson Park Junior League Play Area Renovation Project.

At this meeting the design team will be sharing detailed conceptual plans, including design themes for the play area and equipment. The team will also present a design theme for the splash pad and public restroom next to the play area, and a design for a new picnic shelter north of the Magnuson Boat Launch.

Additionally, the community is encouraged to take this short survey to provide input on design and play area features: https://seattle.surveymonkey.com/r/MagJrLeague

Magnuson Park playground improvements include new play equipment, accessibility improvements in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a new public restroom, and conceptual designs for a splash pad next to the playground, as well as a replacement concept for the restroom north of the Magnuson Boat Launch. The original play area was constructed in 1999 with the support of the Junior League of Seattle.
