Seattle Parks and Recreation Upcoming Nature Programs

We currently have 10 upcoming nature programs, all of which will be open for registration starting Tuesday, August 8th.


Saturday August 12th
-Native Plant and Forest Ecology – Frink Park: Frink Park from 10am-12pm (ages 3+)
-Pond Exploration at Discovery Park: Discovery Park from 2pm-4pm (ages 3+)

Tuesday August 29th
-Low Tide Beach Exploration at Charles Richey Park, WS: Constellation Park from 9am-11am (all ages)

Friday September 1st
-Low Tide Beach Exploration: Carkeek Park from 11am-1pm (ages 3+)
-Native Plant and Forest Ecology: Carkeek Park from 2pm-4pm (ages 3+)

Saturday September 2nd
-Birds of Discovery Park: Discovery Park from 10am-12pm (ages 3+)
-Native Plant and Forest Ecology Walk: Discovery Park from 1pm-3pm (ages 3+)

Saturday September 16th
-Native Plant and Forest Ecology Walk: Frink Park from 10am-12pm (ages 3+)

Saturday October 7th
-Spiders and Creepy Crawlies of the Forest: Discovery Park from 12pm-3pm (ages 3+)
-Bats and Beavers at Carkeek Park: Carkeek Park from 4pm-6pm (ages 3+)

Seattle Parks and Recreation offers multiple Nature and Environmental Education classes and programs in parks all over the city.

Once you are logged in you can view our current program offerings and complete the registration/payment process online. Classes are available for families, toddles, youth, and teens – find the program that is best for your family and be ready to learn, explore and enjoy nature.

*All programs are $10 per person; all participants must be registered. Scholarships apply.
