  • Recreation Center Assistant Coordinators are the composers of our Community Centers! They are responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating a broad spectrum of activities and programs for all ages.
  • Family Resource Educators are the plugs for our community. They support families in finding solutions for challenges or barriers to their child’s full participation in high quality preschool programs to help improve overall child outcomes.

Recreation staff provide essential services to community across 25 Community Centers, 3 Teen Life Centers, 2 Environmental Learning Centers, dozens of childcare programs, 10 pools, and hundreds of recreational programs. Parks and Recreation professionals play important roles in creating friendly and welcoming spaces for all Seattleites. From helping members of the public register for classes or pay for pool admission, distributing healthy meals to children in parks, leading recreational programs for community members of all ages, or engaging the public in different languages to promote healthy lifestyles.
