Please join the fun on Saturday, April 1 between noon and 3 p.m. at Be’er Sheva Park, 8650 55th Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98118.
The event will feature performances by vibrant local artists, fitness classes by Rainier Health and Fitness, delicious food, and fun for all. Attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate on a community art piece that will be installed at the park.
We invite you to learn more about the community-driven, community-designed park improvements commencing this Spring! The Link2Lake Committee has worked tirelessly for the last six years to bring a rejuvenated Be’er Sheva Park to the Rainier Beach community. Some long-awaited amenities include improved beach access, a concrete boardwalk, covered gathering spaces, lighted walking paths, BBQs and picnic tables, a cultural performance stage, and salmon habitat improvements.
This event is hosted in collaboration with Rainier Beach Action Coalition and Seattle Neighborhood Group, who will collect community input to inform future potential projects along the Henderson Corridor.
The Rainier Beach Link2Lake Committee is a grassroots group of dedicated community partners and residents who first convened in 2016 with the goal of creating a safe, distinctive walking corridor centered on South Henderson Street that connects the Rainier Beach Light Rail Station to the shores of Lake Washington at Be’er Sheva Park.
