Seattle Parks and Recreation seeks public input on recreational programs and services

Community encouraged to join listening sessions and participate in online survey

Seattle Parks and Recreation invites the community to provide feedback on recreational programs and services, including input on community center hours and communications.

There are two ways for the community to engage:

  1. Join us at an upcoming in-person listening session or
  2. Take an online survey.

LISTENING SESSIONS Join us at one of our five in-person listening sessions. Families are welcome and refreshments will be provided. All sessions are 6-7:30 pm.

Additional listening sessions, including morning engagement opportunities, to be announced soon.

ONLINE SURVEY

Take this 10-minute survey to help improve Recreation Facility services! Survey is open through December 2 and accessible in 9 languages: Amharic, Chinese (traditional), English, Korean, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Tigrinya, Vietnamese. https://bit.ly/reimaginerecreation

These engagement opportunities seek to validate findings from prior outreach as well as increase feedback from communities of color and youth to inform future department decision making. The 2023-2028 Seattle Park District financial plan includes increased funding to expand Community Center and Teen Life Center hours. Community feedback is important to inform new hours and decisions regarding programming which will roll out in Fall 2023! #SeattleShines
