Community design needed for Dr. Jose Rizal Park

Participate in Elevate Initiative

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to participate in Elevate Dr. Jose Rizal Park. Elevate is a new initiative to improve diversity in participation and widen the opportunity for everyone to take part in creating design concepts for the future of the park.  Elevate aims to strengthen the connection between park design and the community it serves by rewarding vision and purpose, and by providing support throughout the creation of new and vital park design. We are launching this initiative for Dr. Jose Rizal Park during Filipino American History Month in recognition of  Dr. Rizal, a prominent Filipino whom the park is named after.

SPR recognizes the need to increase public participation in the design of public spaces in the city of Seattle. Elevate is our initiative in response to this need. It will solicit, support, and empower community ideas for Dr. Jose Rizal Park.  SPR needs you to participate!  Prior experience with SPR is not required for participating in this design opportunity.  Members of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) are highly encouraged to participate.
