Update: Work originally scheduled for August 17-24 has been postponed due to contractor equipment failure, and will likely be moved to the following week.
Seattle Parks and Recreation will be closing sections of the Burke-Gilman Trail for annual maintenance within the next couple of weeks. The crew will begin work at the north end of the trail working south. Crews will be placing closure and detour signage along the route to notify trail users.
Sections of the trail affected listed below:
- 42nd Pl. NE and Rivera Pl. to NE 125th
- NE 125th to Lakeside Pl. NE
- Lakeside Pl. NE to NE 112th St.
- NE 112th St. to NE 100th
This project continues trail maintenance work that began in July. Crews will be focusing on clearing drainage ditches of silt and debris.
