Fourth of July Closures for Seattle Parks and Recreation

Many Seattle Parks and Recreation facilities remain closed due to the pandemic. Those that have opened will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2021 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday, with a few exceptions. See below for specifics:

These remain closed long term due to the pandemic:

  • Community centers (except for childcare and teen hubs)
  • Most indoor swimming pools (see below for exceptions)
  • Environmental learning centers
  • Teen Life Centers

Closed specifically for this holiday:

  • Childcare
  • Middle and high school academic support HUBs
  • Amy Yee Tennis Center closed both Sunday, July 4th and Monday, July 5th (city courts can still be reserved online)
  • Medgar Evers and Rainier Beach pools
  • Hygiene Shower Program
  • Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing (closed both Sunday, July 4th and Monday, July 5th)
  • Green Lake Small Craft Center

Open:

  • Parks
  • Colman and Mounger outdoor pools
  • Wading pools and sprayparks (see this page for schedule)
  • All lifeguarded beaches except E. Green Lake (see this page for schedule)
  • Boat ramps
  • Golf at Interbay, Jackson Park, Jefferson Park and West Seattle facilities
