The beach at Matthews Beach Park (5100 NE 93rd St.) has been closed to wading and swimming after water quality monitoring results showed high bacteria levels. Seattle’s swimming beaches are closed as our region deals with a spike in recent COVID-19 cases. Lifeguards are not on duty, and it is not safe to swim in these spaces.
The closure will initially last one week from today, after which King County Public Health will retest to determine water quality.
