Seattle Parks and Recreation to offer free group fitness classes at select outdoor exercise equipment sites

As part of a pilot program, Seattle Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Austin Foundation, will be offering free group exercise classes with licensed fitness instructors at outdoor exercise equipment sites at Georgetown Playfield, Powell Barnett Park, and Van Asselt Community Center. Classes are available every Saturday from April 6 through June 29, 2019 for participants ages 13 and older, and we can accommodate up to 10 participants per class.

Our equipment and programs allow a complete exercise program including aerobic exercises, strength building and stretching. For more information and to view class schedules, visit https://www.seattle.gov/parks/about-us/current-projects/outdoor-exercise-equipment-sites.

Free guided fitness classes will be offered at the three sites mentioned above, however Seattle Parks and Recreation has Outdoor Exercise Equipment Sites that provide opportunities for enjoyable physical exercise in 14 parks throughout Seattle. Use of the equipment is free and available to anyone aged 13 or older. Click here for more information.
