Free Youth Swim Lessons at Lifeguarded Beaches

This summer, Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) will offer free daytime youth swim lessons from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at all nine lifeguarded summer beaches. Lessons are intended for youth 6-16 years of age. Session 1 runs July 2 through July 13; Session 2 runs July 16 through July 27; Session 3 runs July 30 to August 10, and Session 4 runs August 13 to August 24. See full schedule here. 

SPR will also offer free evening swim lessons from 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Madrona, Mount Baker, Seward, and Pritchard beaches on either Mondays (June 25 to August 20) or Thursdays (June 28 to August 23). See full schedule here. 

Registration for daytime and evening lessons begins June 1; call 206-684-4078 or email parksaquatics@seattle.gov and specify the location and sessions, and include student’s name and age, as well a contact name and phone.
