Seattle Parks and Recreation needs input for renovation of David Rodgers Park Play Area

Find us in front of Wag N’ Wash during Queen Anne Halloween on the Avenue

We need your input for the renovation of David Rodgers Play Area. Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to visit our booth in front of the Wag N’ Wash, 1932 Queen Anne Ave N, during the Halloween on Queen Anne Ave event on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. Please stop by to meet Seattle Parks and Recreation’s planner, project manager, and landscape architect, to discuss ideas about the new play equipment for the park.

This project will replace play equipment, provide access for people with disabilities, and improve safety and other features at the David Rodgers Park, 2800 1st Ave W. SPR looks forward to working with the community on the design and would like to thank the Queen Anne Chamber.

SPR is removing the play area wood structure at the park and will keep the swings and whirl in place until the construction begins for the renovation project.

Funding for this park project is provided by the Seattle Park District. Approved by Seattle voters in 2014, the Seattle Park District provides more than $47 million a year in long-term funding that supports Seattle Parks and Recreation’s maintenance of parklands and facilities, operation of community centers and recreation programs, and development of new neighborhood parks on previously acquired sites.
