Seattle Tilth will offer a wide spectrum of classes on growing food and on sustainable use of natural resources at downtown parks this summer—for free! Topics include summer and fall gardening, growing tomatoes, composting, permaculture, organic garden pest management, and water conservation.
For those who live in an apartment or condo, you can learn to grow salads in containers, perfect for patios, window sills or small spaces. Participants can gain new knowledge and ideas whether they are beginning or experienced gardeners. Seattle Tilth educators will show innovative ways for Seattleites to enjoy growing and harvesting fresh organic food while using organic, environmentally-friendly practices.
