Calling all lovers of our natural world! If you’re passionate about nature, want to share with others, and enjoy spending time in Discovery Park, this event is for you.
Discovery Park will host an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 6 to let people know of volunteer opportunities, introduce them to veteran volunteers, and enjoy food and prizes.

- Docents (volunteer naturalists – Parks will provide training in Northwest natural history and interpretation)
- Habitat restoration stewards
- Database entry volunteers (bird sightings database)
- Monthly bird survey takers
- Project assistants
- One member of the Discovery Park Advisory Council, a citizen group that advises Parks staff on programming and services.
