Seattle Parks and Recreation invites the community to join in the Sacajawea Playground Renovation public meeting on Wednesday, March 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Sacajawea Elementary School, 9501 20th Ave NE, 98115.
Sacajawea, located in northeast Seattle, will undergo renovations to the Seattle School District property’s playground. The renovation provides improvements such as trails, a wetland and additional play structures.
The meeting is an opportunity for the community to hear about the upcoming project, provide input on selection of play equipment and give Seattle Parks your comments. Parks staff will be at the meeting to discuss the project and answer questions. The community is encouraged to participate and all are welcome.
The Sacajawea Playground renovation is funded by the 2008 Parks and Green Spaces Levy and is one of 29 community initiated Opportunity Fund projects. Additional support from Sacajawea PTSA, Department of Neighborhoods Matching Fund, Seattle Schools, King County Youth Sports and generous community members helped make this project possible.
