Catherine Blaine Cafeteria
2550 34th Ave W, Seattle WA 98199
WHEN: Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. (presentation at 7 p.m.)
At this meeting the community has a unique opportunity to provide input on the future of Smith Cove. As a result of King County’s need to locate a Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) facility in the Smith Cove area, Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Port of Seattle have begun discussions about a potential land exchange. Seattle Parks would exchange its Smith Cove Park site with the Port of Seattle for its adjoining West Yard Property, replacing the youth sports fields and creating a new park with water access.
The vision for better public access to the water has been long held by the nearby communities.
