Seattle Parks and Recreation hosts listening sessions to inform the Request for Proposals for a Golf Management Firm

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is launching a comprehensive Request for Proposals (RFP) process and seeking input on our golf program to inform selecting and onboarding a Golf Course Management Firm. We will be facilitating listening sessions at each of the golf courses and incorporating community input into our upcoming Golf Management RFP.  Please join us from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at one of the following events:

  • June 17West Seattle Golf 4470 35th Ave. SW, 98126
  • June 18 – Jefferson Park Golf 4101 Beacon Ave. S, 98108
  • June 20 –Jackson Park Golf 1000 NE 135th St. 98125
  • June 21 – Interbay Golf Center 2501 15th Ave. W, 98119

The sessions will be hosted by SPR staff and provide an opportunity for the golf community to provide input on their use of the municipal courses and facilities. This feedback will be used to inform the design of the final Golf Course Management RFP and will be shared with the RFP applicants to give them an understanding of what changes the future management firm may be asked to take on if selected to manage the courses and facilities. We anticipate contracting with the selected firm by the end of 2024.

“Seattle Parks and Recreation owns four municipal courses in Seattle and every 10 years we get to renew the operator contract for the courses,” said AP Diaz, SPR Superintendent. “We need input to put out a request for the golf operator group and get an operator on board for the next 10 years. I encourage users/golfers of our courses to participate.”

Additionally, SPR is collecting input through to inform the RFP through this survey https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/7853855/Seattle-Parks-Golf-Management-Survey

Please participate and help shape the future of Seattle municipal golf courses.   For more information please contact Jonathan Garner at Jonathan.Garner@seattle.gov or 206-619-9725.
