Inspired by a similar event in Norway, the Bergen Sister City Association and the Sound Steps Walking Program will co-sponsor the 8th Annual Seven Hills Walk on Saturday, May 21.
This guided walk, which covers more than six miles, stops at all of Seattle’s original seven hills: First Hill, Yesler Hill, Renton Hill, Denny Hill, Capitol Hill, Queen Anne Hill, and Beacon Hill.
Walkers will enjoy narration along the way focused on Scandinavian landmarks and other Seattle history. The walk begins at Kerry Park, 211 W Highland Dr. on Queen Anne Hill, at 9 a.m., and ends at Dr. Jose Rizal Park, 1008 12th Ave. S on Beacon Hill, between 2 and 2:30 p.m.
The group will take a lunch break at the Swedish Hospital cafeteria (or people can bring their own lunches).
