Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Northwest Arts Alliance have teamed up for the Summer Best of Magnuson Park on Saturday and Sunday, July 17 and 18, at Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way NE.
Art: The Best of Northwest artists will be selling their latest creations in the atrium like space of Hangar 30 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. both days. Every medium will be represented – glass, metal, wood, ceramics, oils, textiles and fine gems. There will be art for your garden, art for your walls, art you can wear, and art you can use. Neighbors: Magnuson Park-based organizations will have booths inside Hangar 30 to tell visitors all about what they do. Drop by and visit with the YMCA, Hobie Cats Northwest, Sail Sand Point, The Mountaineers, Seattle Musical Theater and others.
Nosh: There will be a variety of vendors selling food, drinks and adult beverages.
Music: The Justice For Mankind Festival will feature toe-tapping world musical artists and performers, such as musicians, dance troupes, and speakers promoting a message of tolerance and understanding. The festival begins both Saturday and Sunday at noon, and includes informational booths, local and global organizations focused on combating climate change, and regional speakers delivering addresses that explore the dangers and challenges faced by youth.
