Wednesday, Oct. 10 is National Walk to a Park Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the important role that parks play in supporting healthy, livable communities.

At Seattle Parks and Recreation, we are proud to manage a 6,414-acre park system of over 485 parks and extensive natural areas, and we continue to work to acquire new land for parks, in addition to partnering with communities to find innovative strategies to meet the open space and recreation needs of our growing population.
