Seattle Parks and Recreation will host a volunteer group at Magnuson Park’s Dog Off-Leash Area (OLA) on Friday, June 8. Volunteers and staff will be working on site from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to remove invasive plants. Work will focus on removing Foxtail Grass weeds from the curb stops, black fence line, the shy dog area and the entrance from field #5 to the second shelter.
Impacts:
The NE 74th St. entrance at Sportsfield Drive NE to the OLA parking lot will be closed. Access to the dog beach will remain open from the Sports Meadow. The large area in the dog park will remain open. We hope to have all access points open by 3:00 p.m.
