Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) will open Lowery C. “Pop” Mounger Pool, one of our two outdoor pools, on Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. for the summer season. Mounger Pool is located in Magnolia at 2535 32nd Ave. W, and is open until September 9, 2018. Mounger Pool is two pools in one place. The “big pool” has a 50-foot corkscrew slide and the warmer, shallower “little pool” is great for relaxing and for teaching little ones. The slide will be free on Thursdays from 6:35 to 8 p.m. Throughout summer, SPR will host Fun Family Fridays nights from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with games, activities and prizes. Special Fun Family Fridays themes include “Frozen Winter Wonderland”, “Under the Sea Adventure”, and “Outrageous Animal Safari”.

SPR’s other outdoor pool is Colman Pool, located in West Seattle. This pool is a heated saltwater pool that features a giant tube slide. Colman Pool will open for weekends beginning May 26 and will operate on a full schedule beginning June 18.
