Community invited to review design options for the Baker Park on Crown Hill project

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to a meeting for the Baker Park on Crown Hill addition project. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Dental, 1421 NW 85th St, Seattle, WA 98117. Please join Seattle Parks and Recreation’s project manager and senior landscape architect to provide input and review designs of play equipment options. All ages are encouraged to attend and participate. This final meeting will be held just north of the park at Crown Hill Dental in the lobby of Pacific Dental Care.

SPR purchased the .23-acre site directly adjacent and south of Baker Park on Crown Hill, 8341 14th Ave NW, in 2013. The design of the addition will incorporate accessibility features in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act standards and will provide access to open space within this high-density neighborhood. SPR is working with the community on the design and would like to thank everyone who has participated in the previous meetings.

Funding for this park project is provided by the Seattle Park District. Approved by Seattle voters in 2014, the Seattle Park District provides more than $47 million a year in long-term funding that supports Seattle Parks and Recreation’s maintenance of parklands and facilities, operation of community centers and recreation programs, and development of new neighborhood parks on previously acquired sites.
